He was predeceased by: his parents, Tomas Vega and Sofia Vega; his brother Frank; his sister-in-law Barbara; his sister Olivia "Wally" Vega; his brother-in-law Steve Casaus; his niece Lisa Pegram; and his nephew Anthony Austill.

He is survived by: his sisters, Loretta Velasco (Lupe), Victoria Vega, Racquel Casaus, Virginia Martinez (Henry), Norma Wallace (Dale) and Phoenix. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
