Philip Benson Downum Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Philip Benson Downum of Flagstaff, Arizona, who passed away on June 8, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Downum and Evelyn Downum (Benson); and his significant other Marilyn Jean Downum (Hersinger). He is survived by: his son Gene; his daughter-in-law May; his granddaughters, Arwen and Olivia; his daughter Denell; his son-in-law Erik; his granddaughters, Eleanor and Vivian; and his sisters, Carolyn White and Janice Barnett. He is also survived by six loving nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Flagstaff Family Food Center or to the Garland and Evelyn R. Downum Award at NAU.
