It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Hammond (Flagstaff, Arizona), born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on June 14, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughter Taunya Hammond; and her grandsons, Thern Vance Hammond and Vandon Zacory Hammond. She is survived by: her husband Wilton Hammond; her sister Mary Reed; her daughters, Deborah Peoples, Lynette Johnson, Brenda Davis, Elois Gray (Jimmy) and Tameria Hammond; and her grandchildren, Cristina Davis, Maylon Johnson Jr., Jamar Hammond Sr., Aaron Hammond (Amy), Anjelica Hammond, Kiara Hammond, Chantel Hamilton, Michael Shorty and Joe Hamilton III. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
