He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Hiatt and Maxine Hiatt; and his daughter Jeanette Rench. He is survived by: his former wife Teressa Carlson of Bottineau; his wife Tanya Embury-Rench; his children, Brad (Dana), Jeffery Rench Jalynd (Jay) and Sheri Hiatt (Susan); and his siblings, Barbra Gross (Joe), Laurence (Debi) and Douglas. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Compassus in Flagstaff.
