He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Garcia and Emeila Garcia; his siblings, Ellen, Clive and Willie; his granddaughter Desiree Garcia; and his great grandchild Angelo Tristan.

He is survived by: his wife Josie Magana Garcia; his children, Mary Lou Tristan (Ramiro), Virginia "Ginnie" Diaz (Manuel), Anthony (Mary Ann), Larry and Leonard (Lorraine); and his siblings, Benny, Clara, Robert and Priscilla. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren.
