She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Chitose Kawabe and Kiyoto Kawabe; her children, Joy Rutter Stephens (David), Jim Silverman (Julie) and Scott Silverman (Diane); her caregiver Nick Nakashima; her grandchildren, Kayla Pettinger, Ellie Pendleton, Bethany Ingram and Robin Silverman; and her brother Dennis Kawabe (Noriko).
