He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Scheier and Josephine Lampe Scheier; his brothers, Dale Lewis Scheier, Carl Paul Scheier and Charles Joseph Scheier; and his grandson Mason Scheier.
He is survived by: his children, Tonia Weldy, Andrea Pena, Preston Scheier, Gerald Scheier, Kendall Scheier and Joycelyn Newman; his grandchildren, Crystal Weldy, Michael Weldy, Chanelle Pena, Janelle Pena, Daniel Pena, Ryan Pena, Nathan Scheier, Taylor Scheier, Natalie Scheier, Amanda Scheier, Jessica Scheier, Kael Scheier, Holly Scheier, James Newman and Bethany Newman; and his siblings, Don Scheier, David Scheier and Mary Scheier. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Burnham Mortuary - Eagar (535 N Main St, Eagar, AZ 85925). Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints - Amity Building (576 W School Bus Rd, Eagar, AZ 85925). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Amity Building (576 W School Bus Rd, Eagar, AZ 85925).
