He is survived by: his wife Cecilia Valdez (Durazo) of Granados; his children, Vanessa Valdez, Anabel Abril (Rick Abril), Cecilia Garzon (Juan Pablo Garzon) and Robert Marrufo; and his siblings, Humberto "Chapo" Valdez, Socorro "Coyo" Valdez (Camilo Gastelum) and Consuelo Valdez (Enrique Harris). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
