She is survived by: her children, Laura Montoya (Manny), Virginia Verdugo (Robbie), Albert Varela, Hector Varela (Corie), Luis Varela (Lorraine) and Maria Christina Varela; her children-in-law, Gloria Varela and Reynaldo Salazar (Nayo); her sister Refugia; and her grandfather Noriega. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
