He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose "Chito" Hurtado and Juana Hurtado (Marquez); his wife Ana; and his granddaughter Gianna. He is survived by: his children, Karla Estrada (Steve), Ana Celia and Joe (Lizette); his grandchildren, Steve, Kayleen Estrada, Robert Easterbrooks and Arabella Hurtado; and his sisters, Mary Maza (Armando) and Lucy Grijalva.
