He was predeceased by: his parents, Mercedes Durón (Nogales) and Cayetano Ramírez Durón; and his siblings, Rubén, Arturo, Benjamín, Delia, Adolfo, Raúl and Luis Durón.

He is survived by: his wife Petra C. Durón; his children, Diana E. Durón and Enrique M. Durón; and his sister Estella Durón Noriega. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
