He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Emile Joseph and Cecile Edith Pelletier; his wife Gertrude Ruth Booker of Massachusetts; his sister Evangeline; his children, Joseph Breault (Vonnie), Bradley Perry (Terri), Deborah Whiteside (Dennis), Norma Youngblood (Jim), Cecile Mills (Dennis), Emile Jr. and David Pelletier (Rhonda); and his siblings, Louis, Ludger, Raymond, Patrick, Reynold and Norma.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to a Veteran charity or organization.
