He is survived by: his former wife Sue Tucker; his wife Marchand Best of Arizona; his former wife Sue Conyer of Virginia; his sons, Jeff Best (Stacy) of Arizona and Eric Best (Jere) of Arizona; and his sisters, Ruth Denwittie of Washington and Dorothy Allen of Arizona. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
