He is survived by: his parents, Violet Bales and Elwyn Bales; his wife Wanda Leggett; his daughter Eileen; his grandchildren, Tyler and Hannah; his brother Lawrence (Loretta); his nieces and nephews, Dolores, Terri and Tracy; his sister Marie (Walt Burrus); and his nephews, Robert and Steve. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He was active with the "Tempe Needlewielders" at Pyle Adult Center in Tempe, AZ, for many years helping to sew hundreds of items for donation to local hospitals and charities.
