She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Alberts and Luella Murphy Alberts; her husband Rudy Serrano; and her siblings, Ellen Ann Risch and James Alberts.
She is survived by: her brother Robert Alberts of Carlsbad, CA; her children, Margaret (Bruce Robinson), Joe, Susan (Cliff Jones), John (Heidi), Kevin (Shan), Mary Ann (Jeff Evans) and Steven (Steve Schopf); and her close friend Mary Lou Carpenter. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
