He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Merle Mangum and Roy Layton; his sisters, Carol, Linda and Annice; his wife Lucille Turley; his sons, Derek and Darwin Thomas; and his granddaughter Sarita Layton. He was also cherished by his two sons and his granddaughter, and many other loving family members and friends.
A graveside service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery (10940 E Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, AZ 85248).
