She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Tapia and Maltilde Tapia; and her brothers, Juan Pedro, Miguel and Manuel Tapia.

She is survived by: her husband Luis Hernandez; her children, Cecilia, Luis Angel and Leticia; her grandchildren, Alexis, Carissa, Lorenzo, Bianca, Ruben, Alycia and Santos; and her sister Lupe Espinoza.
