Susan McDonnell wrote a sympathy message

“Esther enjoyed cooking and baking in the early years I knew her. She would occasionally bring over cookies or another treat. I still make her recipe for cranberry bars at Christmas. I also enjoyed taking treats to her as it was difficult for her to continue baking. As Esther aged, she often told me she didn't understand why she had lived so long, but thought God must have some purpose for her. She told me that again last spring. Such a life well-lived. Susan McDonnell wrote a sympathy message

“Esther was my next-door neighbor in Chandler, Arizona from the time we bought the home next to her in 2004 until I moved a few blocks away in 2020. She was a delight. She had the beginning of macular degeneration when we first met but maintained her independence for as long as possible. She kept healthy by watching a yoga video regularly and could still bend down and touch her toes well into her 90's. She was also a regular at water exercise and was loved by all.
