He was predeceased by: his parents, Luis Martinez and Juana Martinez. He is survived by: his sisters, Teresa V. Martinez (Frank) and Vicenta M. Alvarez (Florentino); and his nieces and nephews, Nora Murillo (Richard), Aaron Alvarez (Leticia), Rafael Alvarez (Andrina), Naomi Alvarez (Abel), Melinda Ochoa, Imelda Martinez, Efren Rosales and Esperanza Martinez. He is also survived by great-nieces & nephews and great-great nieces & nephews and numerous cousins and friends.
