He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Day and Bernice Day; and his sister Janice Stratman (Art). He is survived by: his wife Brenda Mae Day (Lenhart); his daughters, Diane Stamp (Mike) of Chandler, AZ, Laurel Lawton (Troy) of Phoenix, AZ and Erin Tutay (Daniel) of Flagstaff, AZ; and his siblings, Nick Day (Connie), Kathy Faulkner (Emmet) and Toby Day (June). He is also survived by four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.
