He is survived by: his wife Sharon A Bogucki; his son Captain John August "Gus" MacNeal of Wahiawa, HI; and his sisters, Mary Lint, Susie Foulke and Sara Harmelink (Dale). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces and a large extended family.
In lieu of flowers the family does ask donations to be sent to the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association, navhda.org, for the John MacNeal Memorial Fund or to MD Anderson Cancer Center for pancreatic cancer research mdanderson.org.
