He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Johnson and Mildred Johnson (Sprague); his siblings, Larry Johnson, Norma Lee Flinn and Shirley Prather; and his nephew Brian Sollers.
He is survived by: his wife Carmen Schou; his sons, Skeet Johnson (Brooke) of Basehor, KS and Jay Johnson (Stacie) of Parkville, MO; his grandchildren, Cole, Mason, Cody, Caycee, Morgan and Myles; his sister Marjory Sollers of Roanoke, TX; and his siblings-in-law, Celise Lawson (Alan) of Agenda, KS and Einer Schou (Connie) of Cuba, KS. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Harold "Butch" Johnson memorial fund.
