With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Josephine M. Mayer of Camp Verde, Arizona, who passed away on February 24, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Merkling and Josephine Merkling; her husband Victor Mayer; her sons, Randall Mayer and Brian Mayer; her children-in-law, John Cox and Teri Mayer; and her siblings, Cyril Merkling, Arlene Muncy, Helen Ross and Bernadine'Bernie" Kroll.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Hindmarsh (Ron), Bridget Cox of Utah and Greg Mayer (Amy) of Wisconsin; her sister Ermalinda "Linda" Crotty (David) of Utah; and her grandchildren, Bethany (Mike), Jason (Jennifer), Rachel Giessing (Mike), John Levi Cox (Traci), Aaron Mayer (Tara) of Mathew Mayer, WA, Sarah Zetterwall (William), Jennifer (Joe), Troy (Emily), Nicholas (Ashley) of Mayer, WI and Megan Josephine Mayer. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
