He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Sr. Lang and Katherine Lang (Kitcheyan); his siblings, Kenneth McBride, Victoria, Victor, William Jr., Corene, Myrna and Floyd; his daughters, Jennifer Duncan (Jon), LaKisha Lang and Sharon Lang; his grandchildren, Shaylee, DeJuan, Jon-Nisha, DeShae, Jada, Jayden, Darin, Demetris, Dechambre, Leigah, Derek, Dion, Darrell Jr., Mallory, Keevin, Tregan and Vatorie; his wife Margie Lang (Moses); his children, Shalyn Harvey (Laurence) and Darrell Sr. Lang (Vicki); his siblings, Thelma McCabe, Veda Pike, Norman Lang, Shirley Kitcheyan (Tex), Esther Upshaw, Vonda Moses, Velda Harvey (Peterson), Terry Moses (Cordella) and Dorothy (Valentine); his pet Oreo; and also Amy Kitcheyan. He was also cherished by 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.
During this time Vernon James began working on grants with the Kaiser Foundation in which 2 ambulances were purchased.
