With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Wavelyn Meeks of Benson, Arizona, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on July 19, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Virginia may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Virginia touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her sister Janet Maakestad. She is survived by: her siblings, Richard Billings of Ohio, Donald Billings of New York and Hazel Billings of Colorado; and her children, Elise Cunningham of Florida, Karin Simpson of Arizona and Carlton Anderson of New York. She is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
