He was predeceased by: his son Gary; his siblings, Perfecto, Juan, Lucinda Connelly, Noemi Franco and Daniel; and his half-sisters, Juanita Muñoz and Nellie.
He is survived by: his wife Carolina Olvera; his children, Judy, Gail Dever (Paul), Larry, John (Olivia) and Sharon; his grandchildren, Michelle Ryan (Seán), Peter Dever, Raquel Amador (George), Larry Jr. (Shelly), Sarah Dever, Gary, Gabriel, Michael and Robert; and his sister Raquel Barragan. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project in his memory.
