It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellena Smith Carlsen of Avondale, Arizona, who passed away on June 7, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Guy Potts and Sarah Sophia Fritz; her brothers, Douglas Durland Potts and Marvin Herf Potes; and her husbands, Robert Maurice Smith and Calvin Ray Carlsen.
She is survived by: her sister Gloria Gwendolyn Warnes of West Jordan, Utah; and her children, Letrilla Cho King (Chodi) of Freeport, Florida, Robert Maurice (Mary Ann Smith), Douglas Lamont (Peggy Ann Smith), Saralee Gwendolyn, Clifford Leon Kemple, Jr. (Sonny) of Huntington, Utah, Shane Allen (Virginia Lou Smith), Tammy Lynelle (Calvin Richard Crane), Nellena Ann (Dana Alan Hoffman) and Sheldon Lance (Charlene Nicole Smith). She is also survived by 56 grandchildren, 119 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
