He was predeceased by: his parents, Perfecto and Esperanza. He is survived by: his wife Stella Reyes; his children, José Reyes II, Monique Reyes and Jesse Higgins (Dustin); his grandchildren, Peyton and Harrison; and his sisters, Irene Martinez (Ismael), Sandra Reyes and Anna Reyes. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Holy Cross Funeral Home (9925 W Thomas Rd, Avondale, AZ 85392). A rosary was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery & Funeral Home (9925 W Thomas Rd, Avondale, AZ 85392). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Thoas Aquinas Catholic Church (13720 W Thomas Rd, Avondale, AZ 85392). A burial will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery & Funeral Home (9925 W Thomas Rd, Avondale, AZ 85392).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the "St. Peregrine Fund" for cancer or "Lustgarten Foundation" specific to research of pancreatic cancer would bless the memory and life of José.
