It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Pearl Samuelson (Apache Junction, Arizona), born in Central City, Iowa, who passed away on July 19, 2018, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Lloyd "Shorty" Samuelson; her sister Helen McIntire; her granddaughter Angie Schmaljohn; and her significant other Ed Biggart. She is survived by: her daughters, Julie Hollingsworth (Keith) of Arizona and Nancy Schmaljohn (Lynn) of Illinois; her grandchildren, Darin Knapp (Nicky) and Amy Schmaljohn; her great grandchildren, Jordan Knapp and Hunter Knapp; and her close friends, Laura Held and Tyson Held. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Pearl's memory be directed to Hospice at Home of Arizona (1423 S. Higley Rd, Ste 121, Mesa, AZ 85206).
