He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernhard Petersen and Alvina Petersen (Lammers); his former wife Joyce Nadine Freed; his sons, Jackie Joe and Jamie Dean Petersen; his grandson Lonnie Rosburg; and his siblings, Hilda Luke, Mildred Luke, Edna Weir, Irene Ehlers, Loretta Moore, Doris Peterson, LuVon Petersen, Fred, Lloyd, Henry, Alvin and LuVerne.
He is survived by: his wife Erma Jean Creason of Apache Junction, AZ; his children, Rick Petersen (Susie) of Brandon, SD, Allen Petersen of Wittman, AZ, Debra Rosburg of Everett, WA and Dawn (Jim Schmitt) of Lake Stevens, WA; and his brother Delbert Petersen of Estherville, IA. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
