He was predeceased by: his wife Anita Louise Ellsworth (Culp); his parents, Joseph Hyrum Ellsworth and Iona Ellsworth (Patten); his siblings, Franklin Don, Phillip Lynn and Myrna Martin; his son-in-law Richard Arlen Spear; and his grandson Joshua A. Ellsworth.

He is survived by: his children, Barbara Louise Spear, Rory Melvin Ellsworth and Rose Marie Bates (Stephen); his adoptive son Ignacio Miguel-Gaspar (Manuela); and his great great grandchild Foster. He is also survived by His 15 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren.
