He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Long and Vina Long; his wife Lila Harrier; his children, RaNae and Randy; his son-in-law Arlen Gilbertson; and his siblings, Orvella, Wanda, Bonnie, Buster and Beverly.
He is survived by: his close friend Arlene White of Apache Junction, AZ; his brother Dennis Long (Gayle) of Canby, MN; and his children, Ronny Long (Luella), Apache Junction, Ronna Gilbertson (Calvin Myers) of Parshall, ND and Ryan Long (Kelly). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
