He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Everett Carpenter and Elizabeth Ellen West; his wife Joyce Carpenter; and his sisters, Claudia Chapman, Peggy Noble and Betty Chapman.
He is survived by: his children, Edward Carpenter, Eric Carpenter, Phoenix, James Carpenter and Leeanna Rosenbaum. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
