He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Raymond and Marjorie Jean Barnes (Cazier); and his siblings, Lawrence Barnes and Jan Riley. He is survived by: his wife Freida; his children, Laurence Mitchell (Michelle) of Illinois, James Barnes (Mayra) of North Dakota and Melissa Dowden (Donnie) of Yellville; and his siblings, Mitchell Berkley (Donna) of Utah, Garland Berkley (Carrie) of Tennessee and Lynn Fielding (Pat) of Nevada. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, and seven grandchildren.
