He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Lyle and Andrian Amanda Joiner (Cain); his brother Richard Joiner; and his grandchildren, Joseph A. Joiner, Chrystal Massengill and Maggie Marie Joiner.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Robert Joiner, Jr. (Debra) of Freeport, Michael S. Joiner of Old Town, Florida, Bobbi Jo Carmichael (Larry) of Indianapolis, Julie Stillabower of Indianapolis and Mary Ann Heath of Yellville, Arkansas; his brother Stephen Joiner (Linda) of Freeport, Illinois; his sister-in-law Bonnie Joiner of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; his granddaughter Amanda Marie Meyer; and his great grandchildren, Anthony C. Heath and Baylee Rose Meyer.
