He is survived by: his parents, Remi VanBruwaene and Mary Saelens; his wife Connie; his son Mike VanBruwaene (Monica) of Phoenix; and his grandchildren, Ellie Watt, Sydney McAvinew, Katie Watt, Michael VanBruwaene and Natalie Brin.
