He is survived by: his son Newell Rose (Adriene) of Austin, Texas; his stepson Gary Sopher (Mary Jane) of Iowa City, Iowa; his daughters, Julie Wagoner (Robert) of Van Wert, Ohio, Connie Hastad (Paul) of Flippin, Arkansas and Kittie Lou Barber of Corning, Iowa; his stepdaughters, Marilyn "Micki" Scott (Tim) of Bartlett, Texas and Audrea Cherie Sopher of Waco, Texas; and his sisters, Violet Dunlavy of Belnap, Iowa, Velma Teyke of Rollins, Iowa and Velda Frette of Story City, Iowa.
