He was predeceased by: his parents, Laverne James and Ella Rhey Judd; his sister Norma Head; and his granddaughter Elizabeth Wintersteen. He is survived by: his wife Cindy; his daughters, Kristina Murphy of Colmbus, Ohio, Stefanie Murphy Medlin (Sean) of Waco, Texas and Amanda Coley Wintersteen (Dale) of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; and his brothers, Johnny Head of Orlando, Florida and Jimmy Murphy of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
