She was predeceased by: her parents, Porter Walker and Cordie Mae Griggs (Henry); her husband L. J. Rooks; her daughter Christy Lynn Rooks; and her sisters, Sharon Thomas and Brenda Knuckles.
She is survived by: her siblings, Bruce Gene Griggs of Cherry Valley, Peter Griggs (Amanda) of Salem, Patsy Rooks (Thomas) of Cherry Valley and Sally Smith of Wynne; her grandsons, Austin Futrell (Hannah) of Vanndale and Tyler Futrell of Fayetteville; and her great grandchildren, Jasper, Easton and MaKaleigh. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Thompson-Wilson Wynne Funeral Home (2642 US-64, Wynne, AR 72396). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to the Nellie Rooks Memorial Fund at any Cross Bank location.
