It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Margaret Chowning Brown Ellis (Wynne, Arkansas), born in Cherry Valley, Arkansas, who passed away on November 6, 2019, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleve Lee Chowning and Romaine Chowning; her husband William "Bill" Ellis; and her brothers, Warren, Robert and Gene Chowning.
She is survived by: her daughter Kay Brown Williams Bridges; her sister Mary Frances Pitts of Wynne; her grandchildren, Kelly Williams of Wynne and Kristina Williams Winkles (Mark) of Oakland; her great grandchildren, Callin Hinze of Memphis and Emma Williams of Tallahassee, Florida.; her stepsons, Don and Raney Ellis of Tacoma; and her niece Sherrie Hollis. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Union Avenue Baptist Church.
