He was predeceased by: his parents, Oren Matthewson and Mary Josephine Matthewson (Haynes); his siblings, Jerry, Gary Matthewson and Gladys Matthewson; and his great grandchild Jacob Cummings.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Matthewson; his daughters, Claudette Barber (Chris) of Vanndale, Josette Matthews (Stacy) of Heber Springs and Ashley Watts of Wynne; his sister Doris Dorsett (Glenn) of Forrest City; his grandchildren, Jamie Matthewson, Anna Lockhart (Lee Jones), Amber Lockhart-Loveless, Jessica Joubert (Josua), Corey Cummings (Brittany), Jeremy Reynolds, Jr. (Khloe), Joseph Reynolds, Preston Watts and Colton Watts; his great grandchildren, Gage Loveless, Hunter Loveless, Abigail Loveless, Braylee Jones, Abel Jones, Wyatt Cummings, Ashtyn Reynolds, Leonardo Joubert and Weston Cummings; and his nieces, Stephanie Davis and Jeri Jo Mantague. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
