With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alma Swanson-Flannagan (Wynne, Arkansas), who passed away on October 1, 2020 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd McElroy and Bertha McElroy (Kennon); and her siblings, Edith, Robert, Hazel, Jewel and James.
She is survived by: her former husband Charles Swanson; her children, Don Swanson (Marsha) of Lumberton, Pamela Stewart (Bill) of Firestone, Bob Swanson (Joy) of McCrory, Jim Swanson (Linda) of McCrory, Frank Swanson (Mary) of McCrory, Ken Swanson of West Memphis and Twyla Edwards (Ed) of West; and her husband William Flannagan of Forrest City.
As COVID hit and the visiting restrictions at the nursing home lingered on, her children brought her home from the center so they could be with her and care for her.
Donations may be made to Highway 64 Church of Christ in McCrory or McElroy Cemetery.
