She was predeceased by: her parents, George Mathis and Mildred Mathis; and her brother John Sidney Mathis. She is survived by: her husband Peter Hine of Winslow; her sister Victoria Mathis Harden (Shelton) of Little Rock; her brother-in-law John Hine (Dawn) of Pockington; her niece Angela; her nephew Jonathan Mathis; and her brother-in-law Shelton. She is also survived by two dogs, and twelve cats.

Nancy would have been in favor of any donation made to local animal shelters in her memory.
