He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Franklin and Johnnie; and his brother Frank Smith. He is survived by: his wife Melinda Smith; his sons, Jesse Smith (Laura) of Marion and Jason Smith (Nicole) of Blytheville; his granddaughter Savannah Grace Smith of Blytheville; and his siblings, Jerry Smith (Patty), Russell Smith (Christina), Louella Locklin, Nancy Smith, Barbara Smith (A. J.), Annette Hill and Connie Thomas (Maurice).
