He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Leon and Mattie Mae Kirkpatrick (Greer); his wife Betty Ann Kirkpatrick (Woodruff); and his siblings, Waylon Leon Kirkpatrick, Ruby Syble Speers, Frankie Mae Loe and Dinver Gwendolen Williams.
He is survived by: his children, Pat Campbell (Bo) of Magnolia, Cindy Dowdy (Stacey) of Rosston and Leon Kirkpatrick (Theresa) of Willisville; his niece Becky Martin; and his nephew Billy Ray Earnest. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren.
The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee.
