It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Lou Harris of Wilburn, Arkansas, born in Griffithville, Arkansas, who passed away on September 23, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Barney McCoy Newman and Lula Ethel Knupp Newman; her husband Ernest Eugene Harris; and her siblings, Robert Newman and Bonnie May Newman (Ima Jean Hazelwood).
She is survived by: her children, Edward Eugene Harris of Wilburn, Michael David Harris (Linda) of Jessieville, Ernest McCoy Harris (Beatrice) of Wilburn, Arkansas, Sheila Diane of Pleasant Plains, Bonita Haskett (William) of Drasco and Mary Kathleen Sturgeon (Steven) of Wilburn, Arkansas; and her siblings, Edward McCoy Newman (Gene) of Mayflower, Arkansas and Mary Dell (Henry) of Shannon Hills, Arkansas. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren that are too many to count; and two great-great-grandchildren.
