He was predeceased by: his wife Claudia Boyd; his parents, Howard T. Boyd and Leta Ozell McDougald Boyd; and his brothers, William Boyd (Bill) and Robert Boyd (Bob).
He is survived by: his son Stephen P. Boyd (Lori); his granddaughter Josie Boyd; and his siblings, Annette Rawls (Joe), Mike Boyd, Jan Lea (Jack) and Stanley Boyd. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Scottish Rite Children's Hospitals, Shriners Children's Hospitals or American Diabetes Association in Walter's name.
