He is survived by: his children, Richard Matthews Jr., Brian Matthews, Billy Matthews and Aundrea Nichols; his sister Gabrielle Daniel; his grandchildren, Brittney, Courtney, Ernest, Ashleigh, Vanessa, Ethan, Kinley, Randall, Gwen, Kaylee, Nathaniel and Eden; and his great grandchildren, Emmaleigh, Gracelynn, Easton and Stella.
