She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dee and Ottie Ray Cater; her husband Gerald Alec Sanders; her daughter Diane Cooley Smith; and her siblings, Lovenner Cater White, William Cater, Otis Cater, Robert Lee Cater, Grace Lorraine Cater, Eunice Earnestine Cater McQuiston, JD Cater, Muril Cater, Lilly Mae Carter and Clara Cater Walters.
She is survived by: her sons, Brian Sanders, Henry Lee White, Jimmy White and Arthur Summit; her grandchildren, Kristin Summit, Courtney Cooley and Felicia Cooley; her great grandchildren, Arianna Jolivette and Isaac Jolivette; and her sisters, Evelyn Truman and Bessie Cox.
