He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsie Mae Hildesheim and Jam; his wife Lucy Paralee Slaughter Wilson; his children, James Lee Wilson, Larry Ellender Wilson and Pamela Colleen Wilson; and his grandson Brian Wilson.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Hulett, Rebecca Ann Fowler and Terry Lewis Wilson; his brother Clifton Hildesheim; his grandchildren, Tina Greene, Timothy Burns, Trevor Hulett, Adam Wilson, Tiffany Wilson and Destin Fowler; and his great grandchildren, Christian Greene, Tori Greene and Carter Wilson.
